07-08-26 - added the auto-remove feature. this just does the same as the dnf5 autoremove command. it removes leaves (packages) that are no longer used by any other package on your system.

06-14-26 - Testing completed on fast db updates. released for production.
05-10-26 - Added the fast update feature to incrementally update the db as updates and changes (installs or removals) are done to the system. This routine makes startup virtually instant.
- Fixed several speed related issues.

03-29-26 - New importers, parsers, and interfaces in place. all packages can now belong and be displayed in multiple groups. new roitines result in a 48% speed increase. search routines expanded to pkg names and descriptions

08-11-25 - recompiled lazarus/fpc to version 4.3 with fixes in trunk. This fixes several irritating little things
08-11-25 - Increased execution speed through the exec routines in binexec
08-11-25 - Fixed a long standing error in the exec routines. This sometimes caused the checkup and other routines to  get no input from dnf5. This would result in not listing items into an info box, or reporting that no updates were waiting. Both root and non-root exec functions seem to be working as intended and are stable now.
08-10-25 - More help pages done. Need to decide whether to build the Help system around individual help .html files of compile into a single .CHM file.
08-10-25 - Matched license display in About to final install dir from the RPM file (/usr/share/licenses/rpmgr/LICENSE)

08-05-25 - Finished the popup menu in the installed files dialog. no idea why I hadn't enabled half of the items.

08-05-25 - Fixed a bug in checkup. It was looking for the wrong condition to set ok = true resulting in erratic behaviour.
- Fixed several errors in the setup script file. it was not setting permissions correctly. This file will not be needed once rpmgr is packaged.
- fixed critical errors in the db creation routines and re-wrote several for better speed and to ensure that installed files actually get marked as installed.
- Found an extra space in one of the command strings that was silently keeping repo updates from running.
- code cleanup and optimizations.

08-01-25 - fixed an error in the import packages rotine. this was caused by me, but would keep users from setting up a new system
08-01-25 - Fixed a bug in import packages. string quoting error in the SQL statement
08-01-25 - Removed new db stuff in data.pas. the setup file does that now, and the RPM will do it when packaged
