Remove Quarantine Files

To install:

Download the "Remove Quarantine.dmg" file.
Use the Finder application to open the "Remove Quarantine.dmg" file.
Double click on "Remove Quarantine.workflow" to install to "~/Library/Services" folder.
If the Extension pane of the System Preferences appears, then quit System Preferences.

Note: If the "Remove Quarantine.dmg" file has the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute,
then so will the "~/Library/Services/Remove Quarantine.workflow" file.

To the remove the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute on a file or folder:

Open a Finder application window.
Right click on a file of folder, then select "Remove Quarantine".

To remove the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute on mulitple a files and/or folders:

Open a Finder application window.
Select mulitple files and/or folders.
Right click on the selection, then select "Remove Quarantine".

Note: In the case of folders, the removal action is recursive (so that every file and subfolder in the folder is acted upon).

To uninstall:

Move "Remove Quarantine.workflow" in the "~/Library/Services" folder to the Trash.
