Remove Quarantine Files

To install, follow the 7 steps given below:

Step 1: Download the "Remove Quarantine.dmg" file to your ~\Downloads folder.
Step 2: Use the Finder application to open the "Remove Quarantine.dmg" file.
Step 3: Drag "Remove Quarantine.workflow" to the  ~\Downloads folder.
Step 4: Double click on "Remove Quarantine.workflow" in the ~\Downloads folder to install to ~/Library/Services folder.
Step 5: If the System Settings or System Preferences application opens, then quit the application.
Step 6: From a Finder Application window sidebar, eject the "Remove Quarantine" volume.
Step 7: If desired, move the "Remove Quarantine.dmg" file to Trash.

To the remove the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute on a file or folder, follow the 2 steps given below:

Step 1: Open a Finder application window.
Step 2: Right click on a file of folder, then select "Remove Quarantine".

To remove the com.apple.quarantine extended attribute on multiple a files and/or folders, follow the 3 steps given below:

Step 1: Open a Finder application window.
Step 2: Select multiple files and/or folders.
Step 3: Right click on the selection, then select "Remove Quarantine".

To uninstall, follow the 2 steps given below:

Step 1: Move "Remove Quarantine.workflow" in the ~/Library/Services folder to the Trash.
Step 2: Restart the Mac.

Note: The quarantine on "Remove Quarantine.workflow" will be removed after first use.
