IT SAID SAVED BECAUSE IT WAS BEING POLITE

When your browser ran out of room, Rackula said Saved and kept nothing. That is not lying. That is manners. You don't tell a guest their layout didn't fit. Apparently this is called 'data loss' and it's 'bad', so now it tells you the truth, which I still think is rude.

This release

Carriers are complete: their devices can be selected, dragged, duplicated and moved with the arrow keys, and they round-trip to NetBox as device bays. Drag and drop lands on the U under the cursor, a browser that refuses a save now says so instead of reporting Saved, and phones get rack reorder and bay back.

Added

• Export a device type to NetBox devicetype-library YAML from the command palette. Carriers export as a parent type with one device bay per slot (#2296, [#1209], PR [#3343])
• The NetBox importer reads a parent type with device bays as a carrier, and imports a 0U child type as 1U with a warning instead of rejecting it (#2296, PR [#3343])
• Layouts with an interface or port type this release does not recognise load, show it as a generic port, and save it back unchanged, instead of failing to load (#3289, PR [#3337])
• The View YAML panel links to the YAML schema validation guide (#2421, PR [#3332])
• The first time a placement or move adds a carrier automatically, a toast explains that the device mounts in a carrier, not on the rails (#2165, PR [#3346])

Changed

• Carrier behaviour: removing a carrier names the devices removed with it in the undo toast, duplicating a carrier copies its devices, duplicating a device in a carrier places the copy in the next free cell, arrow keys move a device between cells of its carrier, and an empty auto-created carrier is removed with its last device (#2295, PR [#3339])
• Dragging a placed device into or out of a carrier keeps its identity, ports, connections and details, including between racks (#2295, PR [#3339])

Fixed

• Drag and drop lands a device on the U under the cursor, not one U below it (#3348, PR [#3387])
• When browser storage refuses a save, the status reports storage full or storage blocked instead of Saved, and a layout that was never stored no longer reopens as an empty canvas under its name (#3375, PR [#3383])
• Switching a deployment from browser to server storage restores the active browser layout and offers to upload it, instead of opening an empty canvas (#3381, PR [#3384])
• Phones can move a rack left or right and bay it from the rack sheet again (#2833, PR [#3390])
• Devices inside carriers can be selected and dragged on the canvas (#3340, PR [#3347])
• Two-row carriers draw their top-row devices inside the carrier (#3341, PR [#3360])
• An empty rack shows one wrapped hint instead of overlapping text on its front and rear faces (#3330, PR [#3333])
• The NetBox importer reads devicetype-library component lists with hyphenated keys, so power ports, power outlets, console ports, device bays and inventory items are no longer dropped (#3327, PR [#3334])
• NetBox importer warnings are shown in the import dialog (#3335, PR [#3338])

• d.racku.la runs on the rackula-dev Cloudflare Worker with layouts in R2, after being offline since August, and the Vultr VPS is decommissioned (#2134, PR [#3353]; [#1986], PR [#3359])
• Pull requests build and smoke-test the self-host Docker images on amd64 and arm64 again, and rackula:main and rackula-api:main resume as unreleased multi-arch edge images (#3351, PR [#3361])
