Dexed TX816 is a Windows VST3 FM rack instrument. It runs eight isolated TF1-style DX7 tone generators using the vendored Synth_Dexed core and MiniDexed's default EngineType=1 MKI path, matching Dexed desktop's MkI engine selection, with per-module cartridges, programs, mixer controls and modern rack effects.
Features
- Eight TF1 modules with independent DX7 SysEx cartridge, program, volume, pan, detune, mute and solo state.
- MiniDexed-compatible base path per TF1: Synth_Dexed voice allocation, oscillator/envelope/LFO arithmetic, DC blocker, velocity modes and deterministic engine lifecycle.
- Common or per-module routing, module/rack metering and a transparent post-sum rack peak limiter.
- Safe unison stacking: the selected TF1's actual cartridge is cloned to all eight engines, mixer levels return to the safe RAW value, and pan, detune, reverb and limiter state are preserved.
- Built-in rack presets: TX816 RAW (centred, concert-pitch and dry) and Wide Sound (Pan: -0.25, -0.50, -0.75, -1.00, +0.25, +0.50, +0.75, +1.00 | Detune: 0.0, -0.5, -1.0, -1.5, 0.0, +0.5, +1.0, +1.5 cents).
- Module and full-rack preset import/export plus plug-in state restoration.
- Pronounced, gain-compensated per-module reverb with synchronized rack-wide control and global rack-frame help.
- Bidirectional Advanced Dexed Editor synchronization for cartridge, program and voice parameters.
- Fixed-scale GUI, optional control and keyboard areas, and an in-plug-in help panel.
