QxlWin README

QxlWin is a small program but requires a lot of "under the covers" DLLs etc to make it work. These are included in the QxlWin-Installer.exe program.

However, as upgrades are released, there will be a new installer and a plain vanilla QxlWin.exe file to download.

This should save you the effort (and bandwidth) of having to download a large installer for a minor release of a relatively small program when you already have the underlying support files etc.

First Timers

If this is the first time you've downloaded QxlWin, then you need the installer program first. Then carry on as below for upgraders.

The installer will currently install version 1.0.6 of QxlWin. (As of 27th June 2016 but this may change as time progresses, which is, after all, its job!)

In other words:

• Download QxlWin-Installer.exe.
• Run it.
• Download QxlWin.exe.
• Copy it over the installed QxlWin.exe.
• You now have the latest version.

Upgraders

If you've already downloaded the installer, simply download the QxlWin.exe file itself, and overwrite the previous version.
