Q version 33 can read ints and doubles from the current line via new opcodes ^<INP>
and ^<INPF>
.
Additionally, ^<INP>
and ^<INPF>
both
- Return the length of the number read, since it can be terminated by any
non-numeric (not just whitespace). This is always pushed to R, unlike the
actual value which is first pushed to R or F as appropriate.
- Skip leading whitespace before the number starts
(any whitespace, not just spaces)
- Leave the cursor on the first character of the number.
There is a new README_DEBUG_PIPE documenting how to debug Q running in a pipe.
There are 2 examples of using the new ^<INPF>
opcode in the wiki, with a detailed explanation of 1 of them.
See git log for other changes (nothing intersting I can think of).
