I have ]PO[ version: 3.5.0.0.1 running on centos.

When I create a new folder or upload the file, by default the permission is vrwa for employees and Senior Managers.
I remove the permission from the employee.
But the permission remains the same.

Kindly assist me or point me to the right direction

    Regards
    GK

We have successfully gone live on April end.
So far it is good, except problems like this.

    Hi,

Right, these permissions are "gray" because they are "inherited".
Please go to Admin -> User Profiles and modify the settings for the following
    "privileges":
    - Fs root admin
    - Fs root read
    - Fs root view
    - Fs root write

    (remove the ticks for "Employees").

These perms are the defaults for all file storages.

    Cheers,
    Frank

    Hi,

We have similar issue. I have modified the setting from Admin-> User Porfiles -> Now the permission for "Employees" is shown as " vr' only, but when i login from "Employee" account, they still have permission to delete the files.

Restarting the server also has no effect and the user still has all permissions.

Please let me know, any other place the parameters is to be modified.

    thanks,
    SV

    Hi,

Can you reproduce the issue (being able to delete files without "w" or "a" permission) in the demo.project-open.net server?

In this case please create a bug report here on SF and we'll try to fix this for V4.0.

    Cheers,
    Frank

    Hi Frank,

I have looked in demo server all have default "vrwa" permission. Can you restrict one user with "v" permission , so that i can try ?

    thanks,
    SV
