Dynfield in an Invoice

    Hi there,

I'm running 3.5.0.1.  When I try to enable dynfields in the parameters screen for intranet invoices, I cannot find the parameter to set.

However, I can add dynfields, from the dynfields->objects->invoices without any problem.

The problem, though … when I create an invoice/quote, I do not get the additional dynfield tab at the top (like in the youtube video) with the fields that I've created.

There seem to be nowhere that I can edit these fields.

    Thanks
    R

    Hi there,
this feature is not yet "productized" and therefore not yet committed to the CVS.
However, we'll happy to share the code - please get in touch with us: http://www.project-open.org/documentation/contact

    Hi Paola,

DynFields are supported for "invoices" by the system, but the GUI doesn't yet support them,
because the invoice edit screen includes features that are not compatible with DynFields
(the invoice lines are stored in the same form as the invoice main data).

The current status on this issue is that V4.0 will also NOT support DynFields on invoices.

We are working with guys from the OpenACS core team on extending the "ad_form" template
functionality to cover our use case.

    Cheers!
    Frank

    Hi Paola,
until the final decision hasn't been made yet regarding this integration there's a patch available at
    http://blog.klaushofeditz.de/po/project-open-ajax-dynfield-support-for-invoices/
In order to implement it, you might need some ]po[ Admin/Developer skills.

    Best regards
    Klaus
