If not, see <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/>. ---- Why? ---- I have a bunch of AT89C2051 and AT89C4051 microcontrollers, and wanted a programmer to use on Linux. I found Easy Downloader, but the Linux program would not run, or compile. So I wrote my own app in Qt5, and modified the hardware design to use an AT89S52 for the 'brains'. The first version uses a 40 pin DIP, since I had some of those collecting dust. Then I did a smaller version using a TQFP unit, and pretty much all SMD components. ----- Linux ----- Download the source code archive, unpack it and run build.sh in the console/terminal. You may need to make it executable. When done, run ProgCx051. There is also an AppImage if you prefer. ------------- Windows 10/11 ------------- To use this app, unzip the archive someplace and double-click the exectuable. --------------- KiCad 6 Project --------------- As usual, I forgot to make note of what KiCad symbols/libraries I had to add for this project.
