I've used Process Explorer from Sysinternals for years. It was one of my favorite tools. Recently I switched to Process Hacker because is ligther than PE and its memory inspection capabilities are brilliants.

As a long-time devotee of SysInternals, I watched Microsoft absorb them with both pleasure for the people behind SysInternals and great trepidation for the future given the transformation of Microsoft's culture into "developers and systems analysts are just revenue sources, too". While I wouldn't say Process Hacker is an "across the board" replacement for the SysInternals toolset, its rate of change and incorporation of multiple useful features - I particularly like the ease of access to network connection information when you're in a WTF over a new, unidentified process - reflects both an understanding of the issues that face both developers and analysts AND the rate of change and flexibility of independent, self-driven (and technically outstanding) developers. Great job!

This is a nice tool for those of us that requires something powerful and easy working.

Absolutely fantastic. I never thought anything could be better than Process Explorer but this clone just might be! It has more features than Process Explorer but maintains all the good stuff from Sysinternals P.E.

Some sites carry the scareware downloads and lock IE processes from being shut down. Task Manager is weak and will not actually kill these processes. Tried PH couple of years ago and have made it my default ever since. It only gets better with age. Number one in my book. Great job. And TYVM, Sourceforge, for providing a site for programs like this.
