Surface Mounted Devices. -- Electronics.
Resistors, capacitors, diodes and integrated circuits marking codes.

SMD.exe and source software, version 1, 3/2017 is free.
(c) mjk / Michael Knowles

You may be interested in a small but, fast, easy to use and very powerful SMD program
with the free 17,000+ condenced item database that includes various manufactures,
package types and some descriptions.

SMD.exe can;
Look up SMD chip codes,
Add and easily edit items,
Look up part numbers,
Import data, with a couple of choices.
    These types can be saved from an Excel spread sheet, or from …
    It can be a simple text file or a delimited file.
Check, condense and remove duplicate items.

Using the SDM + software is much easer than trying to look up codes on the internet.
   If the internet is up.
   No more fishing many web sites or multiple pages for hours and hours.
   The codes are always right at your fingertips.
SMD has a built in manufactures list.
SMD has a built in package cross reference list.
SMD has the capacitor code list also.
This program allows the user to use several input styles and tricks.

SMD can be used to input non-SMD codes also. If you need a part number and description
they can be added also.

SMD USES A CONDENSED DATABASE. ie;
t1H MMBTA05 sot23
p1H MMBTA05 sot323
s1H MMBTA05
1Hw MMBTA05 sc70
1H- MMBTA05
*1H MMBTA05
Is listed as: 1H MMBTA05 var sot23-3pin sot323 sc70 60v 500ma NpN transistor
Instead of many, many SMD codes for the same part number.
Therefore, it is a much smaller database. Possebly 50 to 75 percent smaller than others.

>>>> Down load the smd.dat file also. It has the data.

My intent was to make the database updatable from items that others have inputted.
