pinux

Pinux is a personal Arch-based Linux distribution built around Hyprland (Wayland).

One installer image, several profiles: you pick who the machine is for, and the installer sets up that profile's packages, dotfiles and desktop. The first profile is "dev" - a full development desktop with editors, SDKs, VM and container tooling, and a Windows-like key layout for people coming from Windows.

Hardware is detected at install time and the right add-ons are applied automatically: Intel or NVIDIA drivers, laptop power management, DisplayLink docks, fingerprint readers.

The full image ships every package it can install inside it, so installation works with no internet connection at all. Images are rebuilt weekly, so a download is never far behind upstream Arch.

Status: early. It builds, installs and boots, but it is young and changes fast.
