PicSharp is a free, open-source image compression application designed for optimizing large collections of pictures across desktop platforms. Built with Tauri and Rust, it provides high-performance batch processing with low resource consumption. Users can compress images locally or use TinyPNG for cloud-based optimization. The software supports lossless and lossy compression with adjustable quality levels. It can convert images into PNG, JPEG, WebP, and AVIF formats after compression. Its folder monitoring feature automatically processes new images added to selected directories. Additional controls include metadata preservation, transparent background handling, and configurable saving rules. Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, PicSharp combines automated image optimization with flexible compression settings.

Features

  • High-performance batch image compression with multithreaded Rust processing
