WARNING: This project is no longer supported. Running this app may now be difficult on a standard Windows PC, Mac OS or Linux PC.
It requires both a Java Runtime (JRE) and support for JavaFX, which are no longer preinstalled on most systems today.
Running the app by simply clicking the JAR will usually not work any more, sadly.

This is a free, quick and easy to use photo collage maker for your PC or Mac.
It lets you create and save photo collages - i. e. pictures composed of many smaller photos arranged on a chessboard pattern layout.
The application automatically loads, resizes, clips and arranges dozens or hundreds of pictures for you, so you can produce a collage within minutes, what would take you hours if you did it "by hand".
Features
- Free and open-source, no registration needed.
- No installation. Just download the JAR file and double-click it to run it.
- Produces a JPG or PNG file, so you can do what you want with it: print it yourself, order prints, use it on Facebook, your home page, etc.
- Choose a layout, then adjust all settings if desired: margins, borders, colors, random scattering...
- Automatically uses the pictures from a folder on your PC/Mac.
- Automatically resizes, clips and arranges the pictures.
- You may add larger pictures or empty regions in between, or add a background picture.
- You may add texts of any colour, size and font.
- The preview canvas shows you immediately what you get.
- Easy to use - tooltips explain everything.
- Works under Windows, Mac or Linux, as it is Java-based.
- Keeps your privacy, transfers no data or pictures away from your computer.

it don't recognize jpeg, unable to use. when you type 3x1 for example it still only shows other templates like 3x3, and even 8x8 when you click to remove the other say the 3x3 is opened but only need 1x3, the grids no longer show, no way to delete most of all since its java , always have to open with a java launcher, without , the windows need to be embedded not popup when window pops up it is not static show the backwindow /inactive shows looks like it crashed, but the front /active window is hidden. creating a bat/sh script. Needs bat/sch for usability without programming

From: https: //404.g-net.pl/2016/12/zdjecia-javie-photocollageforge-1-0/ (Machine translated from Polish) Pictures of Java: 1.0 PhotoCollageForge author Salvadhor • December 27, 2016 • 0 Comments We all like the programs with which we achieve the desired results without much thinking on syntax, interface or method of installation. That's why PhotoCollageForge have a chance to accrue to many people to taste. Because this simple applet to generate neat puzzles of our shots just works. PhotoCollageForge 1.0 PhotoCollageForge is a multiplatform editor written in Java . For this reason, you may like it or not - depending on our attitude to such programs, most of which get married in format .jar and run by double-clicking (without installation). It is no different from PhotoCollageForge that after firing (alternatively command java -jar nazwa_programu.jar ) will present us a neat window and a lot of parameters. It is in this window, specify the page layout (the number of images in the column and row and resolution), margins, and color of the frame and the image or color for the background. For this course we choose the images to be placed in a higher resolution ( Large Pictures ) and smaller ( Small Pictures ). For smaller images set the random rotation and dispersion, the order and trim. This is not the end, because the puzzle will be able to add descriptions, title and the whole stored in jpeg format. The applet like a simple, yet interestingly conceived (stacking images by coordinates) and to open-source. To test it, download it from the project site.
