pdip stands for Programmed Dialogue with Interactive Programs. It is a simplified version of the famous expect utility which interprets a scripting language to dialog with an interactive program as a human operator would do.
The package offers also an API to pilot interactive programs from C Language programs and two application libraries (ISYS and RSYS) as alternatives to system() from the C library.
