OSPS is a pure JAVA-based program (multiple platforms) aims to facilitate biologists to easily design probes to deplete rRNA in an organism-specific manner. We have demonstrated that the designed probes of 16S rRNAs and 23S rRNAs can effectively remove rRNAs from Mycobacterium smegmatis.
