I love OpenLieroX! I have played Liero in some form since the days of 1.33 which worked all the way back on Windows 3.1! (Though without audio). I am glad to see this game is still playable on Windows 10 systems but sadly the player base is all but dead. I have a glimmer of hope that people may start trickling back! If only lxalliance was still a thing... Awesome classic game. Hope to see some folks playing it soon!

NiL Isn't Liero
NiL is a modular multi-purpose gaming engine including a multiplayer worm game a little like quake, except it's 2d and a little like worms except it's realtime.
Invasores
Invasores is a simple Shoot them up game. It's fun and it has been written in Python. You can modify the graphics and the levels to enhance the game and to enjoy. It is being developed with Python and Pygame. Newer versions are now at GitHub. https://github.com/lskbr/invasores
Enigma
Enigma is a puzzle and dexterity game. It's 2D in gameplay and graphics, and available for Linux, Windows and Mac, and several languages. It features more than 1000 levels and is maintained by a vivid community, creating ever more inventive levels.
GUSANOS
GUSANOS is a 2D worms like game. GUSANOS is an open-source clone of the DOS game Liero. It currently works on Windows and Linux. In the game each player controls a small worm armed to the teeth and fights other worms in a destructible battleground. It can be described as "Real-time Worms" or "2D Quake", or a combination of both. The gameplay is as close as possible to Liero's. Hardcore Liero players will feel at home. Newbies, on the other hand, may find the controls hard to dominate at first, but not less enjoyable. Practice makes perfect. GUSANOS improves greatly on what the original Liero left, adding modern graphics, audio and networking capabilites along with a myriad of other features. The GUSANOS engine is fully moddable. It achieves this in a Quake-like fashion, so that each mod lives in its own folder without messing with the core game files.
Blood Frontier
Blood Frontier was a single-player and multi-player first-person shooter game, built as a total conversion of Cube Engine 2 (Sauerbraten). The project has been discontinued. Details at http://www.bloodfrontier.com.
