PROJECT DESCRIPTION ---------------------- Open source software tool that allows the presentation of mobile TV services received via DVB-H in handheld devices. This solution exploits the return channel available in smartphones and PDAs to provide an interactive user experience. The DVB-H client includes: a partial implementation of the Java API JSR 272, a Java ME MIDlet that handles the user interface, an adaptation of an open source FLUTE receiver for Windows Mobile devices, and various adaptation layers. The solution has been designed in a modular way, so that different functionalities are aggregated in modules that interoperate through APIs. This client has been developped by the Área de Ingeniería Telemática (University of Seville, Spain): http://trajano.us.es This development has been possible thanks to the support of the Minerva Project: http://proyectominerva.org/default.asp?idioma=EN For further information contact: María Amor, mav@trajano.us.es
