Omega is a roguelike game originally written by Laurence Brothers in the late 80s. It was the first roguelike game with a large "countryside", plot development, quotable quotes, and a sense of humor.

User Reviews

  • Not as good as Avanor but allot longer? Allot better than Nethack. you will need to hack source (bank) to easy difficulty. HOWEVER: be careful when saving loading (ie, your hit by fire items burn but no message told you that). Like nethack you need a script to backup last save and or restore it. Note build option opcurses does Not add graphic tiles: if you have xterm you don't need it.
