This game was developed in FreeBASIC, specially for the FBGD Numbers Competition (18 Aug 2014).

FreeBASIC is an excellent, fast, free, self-hosting, open-source BASIC compiler. Check it at http://www.freebasic.net

* Recommended Settings

Processor: AMD or Intel x86, with SSE2, 1.2 GHz or faster

RAM: 2 GB or more

Graphics Card: 1 GB of Video RAM or more, fully compliant with OpenGL 2.0 or higher

A gamepad / joystick is highly recommended for an optimal gaming experience.

The game may still work with a lower configuration system, but you may experience low performance at some points.

* Windows Specific Requirements

Windows XP or higher

Proprietary video drivers for the graphics card (AMD, Intel or Nvidia)

* Linux Specific Requirements

glibc 2.19 or higher

Proprietary video drivers for the graphics card (AMD or Nvidia)

Required 32-bit libs: libGL, libX11, libXext, libXpm, libXrandr, libXrender, libpthread, libz, libtinfo, libm, libdl, libc, libatiuki, libgcc_s, libxcb, libXau, libXdmcp

Notes:
Current open source video drivers work (Intel and AMD), but you may experience glitches, low performance and/or crashes.

* OSX Users

There is no OSX version right now.

The Windows version seems to work fine with wine (http://www.winehq.com).

But as I don't have a Mac to test, this configuration is not officially supported.

F.A.Q.:

Q: What programming language/libraries/software/operating system/tools did you use to develop this game?

FreeBASIC compiler;
OpenGL for graphics;
SDL and SDL_mixer for sound;
FreeBASIC PNG Library - fbpng (Thank you yetifoot);
Audacity and sfxr (http://www.drpetter.se/project_sfxr.html) to create the sound effects;
Gimp to draw the graphics;
Geany as code editor;
Ubuntu 14.04 x86 (desktop) and Lubuntu 14.04 x86_64 (netbook).

Q: Can I redistribute this game?

Yes, as long as it's for free and you don't remove this README or any other files from the package.

Q: Can I sell this game?

No.

Q: Can I use your media in another project?

We can discuss it. Drop me a line.

Q: Can I make changes to this game?

Yes. If you do it, please contact me.

Q: Can I make my own game using this source code?

Yes. Please give me some credit.

Q: I get a crash / freeze or a black screen when I pause the game / in menus / title screen. I'm using Intel video.

This is caused by the video drivers. It's fixed since Ubuntu 13.10. Not sure about Windows. But if you still experience this
issue, try running the game with "-nofrontbuffer", or set "frontbuffer=0" in "numbezzled.conf".

Q: I have more than one monitor, and the game opens in a very small window.

The game can't automatically determine the resolution when there is more than one display.
You can either disable the additional displays, or edit "numbezzled.conf" to set your desired
resolution manually.

Q: I really like this game. What can I do to help?

Numbezzled is a free, open-source game. If you want to support it, you can make a donation.
Visit http://cmcgames.blogspot.com and donate any amount. It will be very much appreciated.
