Intro
-----

When you use Nokia PC Suite Contacts Editor (Also called Communication Centre because it does text messaging) it will syncronise the contacts and messages in your phone with a local database. If you lose your phone or its data and you never made a backup using the built in utilities or the Content Copier, the local contacts DB used by PC Suite might still have a lot of your contacts and messages in. This utility extracts vCards (business cards) and vMessages (a nokia format for text and mms messages) from the local database and writes them to your hard disk. You can then use PC Suite to import them into your phone again

vCard/vMsg format is used because it holds all the info from your contacts list/message, such as address, email, thumbnail pictures, sound data etc. PC Suite can import multiple vCards/vMsgs at once.

Requirements
------------
Microsoft Windows 2000 or later
.NET Framework 2.0 or later

You may also need SQLite .NET drivers (https://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlite-dotnet2/) in order to access PC Suite's database, though the program ships with a built copy of the SQLite driver dll (first try to load the program without installing the SQLite drivers)

Usage
-----
Download and extract NokNokWhosThere.exe to a convenient location
Run the exe
Choose the PC Suite database file you wish to extract (supported files are: PCCSContact.db, PCCSSMS.db, PCCSMMS.db, Contacts.dat and SMS.dat)
Choose the folder to place the vCard/vMsg files in
Press Go


Notes
-----
The PC Suite databases are usually stored in: 
  C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR LOGON NAME\Application Data\PC Suite\YOUR PHONE IMEI

  Note: Application Data is a hidden folder, you may have to 'Show All Files' to see it
  Note: Your phone IMEI can be found by dialling *#06#"
  
You may also choose to search your entire hard disk for the file and copy it to the desktop. The other databases are stored alongside PCCSContact

If you connected an empty phone and opened Communcation Centre, it might have deleted all the info out of the relevant database
You see it do this; names / messages show for a few seconds then disappear when it realises the phone is empty
The data is sometimes still within the file and can be extracted if this happened to you 
If you choose a contacts or SMS database that reports empty, you see an advisory note to consider ticking the Tools menu option 'Treat DB as a RAW file'
If you tick this before you press Go, NokNokWhosThere will attempt to extract the data directly rather than using the database drivers

Raw extraction is required for Contact.dat and SMS.dat and the program will enable it automatically when choosing one of these kinds of file

Once you have extracted the vCards/vMsgs, open Nokia PC Suite Contacts Editor/Message Centre and choose Import... from the File menu
What you can import will depend on what mode you have Communication Centre in (Contacts/Messages)
Navigate to the directory of vCards/vMsgs and select the ones you wish to import
Press OK (tick)
PC Suite will import the vCards/vMsgs

If you encounter any problems with the PC Suite side of things, please ensure you have an up-to-date version of PC Suite
