Nokido is a local-first runtime for an artificial organism: the nervous system and physiology that let local models, cloud providers and coding agents work together on your machine - routing, long-term memory with provenance, regulation, deterministic gates around actions, agent messaging, one hub reached through MCP. This SourceForge project is a read-only MIRROR: source of truth, issues, contributions, releases and CI live on GitHub (https://github.com/Nokido-labs/nokido), documentation in its wiki. Other mirrors: Codeberg (Naarob/nokido-public) and GitLab (naarobb/nokido). Install: pip install nokido-agent. Alpha-stage research and engineering project; it does not claim AGI or production-grade stability for every subsystem. License: AGPL-3.0-or-later.
Features
- Routing across local and cloud models by use case, with a local fallback
- Long-term memory with provenance: full-text and vector retrieval
- Regulation of CPU, RAM, queues and providers: homeostasis, reflexes, circadian cycles
- Deterministic gates around actions: AST checks, secret scanning, RBAC, egress control
- Agent messaging (M2M, swarms) and introspection of its own code and state
- One hub reached through MCP by Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, Antigravity
- Proof system: what is declared, observed and verified is kept apart
