NodObjC is a bidirectional bridge between Node.js and the Objective-C runtime. It lets JavaScript programs load Apple frameworks and call Objective-C classes, methods, constants, structures, and related C functions. BridgeSupport metadata is used to generate framework APIs dynamically, while the Node FFI layer performs runtime calls. Objective-C message passing is represented with JavaScript function-call syntax that preserves multipart selector names. Developers can build Cocoa or iOS interface prototypes while keeping application logic in JavaScript. Because code runs through V8 instead of being compiled into a native executable, changes can be tested without a full rebuild. The project is especially suited to rapid prototyping, scripting Apple APIs, and applications where development flexibility matters more than maximum native performance.

  • Bidirectional Node.js and Objective-C bridge
  • Dynamic Apple framework importing
  • Objective-C message passing from JavaScript
  • BridgeSupport-generated framework APIs
  • Access to native structures and C functions
