Description

NetworkService is a Java network API that simplifies development of LAN-based applications. It allows programmer to build locatable, state-monitorable software modules and exchange data between them in a peer-to-peer fashion. These modules can be given 'meaningful' names (Tom, FileServer1, Printer2..etc) instead of static IP address.

NetworkService's project also provides SawaTalk - a server-less chat application (bundled with the final version of NetworkService ). SawaTalk has the following features:

-Public and private chat windows.
-Files transfer.

See how to use NetworkService:-
https://sourceforge.net/projects/networkservice/files/NetworkService1.0.0.3/

See other applications using NetworkService:
-A search system for PDF files stored on different PCs.
