What's new in v2.0.6:

Fixed

• Background blur now respects the OS "reduce transparency" preference. Follow-up hardening of the renderer-capability probe from v2.0.3: an untouched install defers to prefers-reduced-transparency unless you explicitly opt back into full effects via the Effects button; the automatic downgrade is now only persisted after two consecutive slow launches, so a single slow frame (antivirus scan, busy background tab) can't permanently strip the design; and the reduced-effects media query now also covers ::before/::after pseudoelements. • fsQCA and the APA .docx export stopped failing silently. An fsQCA run that produced no truth-table rows showed three empty solutions with no explanation — the engine had already computed the reason and put it in warnings, but neither renderer read them, so a legitimate diagnostic read as a broken feature. The solutions look-ups and warnings display now surface the cause, and the .docx export no longer swallows failures. PR [#201].
• master was unbuildable. A dependabot pyinstaller bump edited pyproject.toml and left uv.lock behind, so uv sync --locked (what every release job runs) refused to proceed. Regenerated the lockfile and added a CI Consistency check that refuses such drift — it also verifies pyproject.toml, CITATION.cff, app/version.py and uv.lock all declare the same version. PR [#199].
• Closed the three open Bandit alerts (B110 bare excepts) and the duplicate element IDs. The bare except Exception: pass handlers were swapped for real logging, and the duplicated IDs were removed rather than renamed. PR [#200].

Changed

• Bandit job renamed to Bandit scan. The bare job key made the Actions check render lowercase (bandit) while the SARIF upload produced a second title-case Bandit check on every PR; explicit naming keeps the two distinct under branch protection. Also aligned the actions/checkout pin annotation with the rest of the repo. PR [#223].
• CI housekeeping. Dependabot switched to the native uv ecosystem; actions/setup-python 7.0.0, astral-sh/setup-uv 10.1.0, and the CodeQL action group updated; Scorecard now uses an admin-scoped token for accurate branch-protection scoring. Runtime dependency bumps: patsy, python-dotenv, idna, click, uvicorn[standard] → 0.52.4. Build toolchain: pyinstaller 6.22.2.
