nano11 is an experimental PowerShell builder for creating an extremely stripped-down Windows 11 installation image. It uses built-in DISM capabilities and Microsoft's oscdimg utility to generate a bootable ISO from an official Windows source. The script removes bundled apps along with major system components, services, drivers, Windows Defender, Windows Update, and the WinSxS component store. An unattended setup file bypasses the Microsoft Account requirement and enables compact installation by default. The resulting system can be dramatically smaller than a normal Windows 11 image. That reduction is intentionally destructive to serviceability, so removed languages, drivers, features, and updates cannot simply be added back later. The project is therefore intended for disposable development, testing, embedded scenarios, and virtual machines rather than normal desktop use.
