The N8EO ontology is being developed at the University of Manchester by Rafael Gonçalves, Dr. Robert Stevens and Prof. Uli Sattler. This ontology describes pieces of equipment (shared by institutions affiliated to the N8 Consortium), their underlying technologies, materials, locations, functions and roles. A web-based ontology browser dedicated to this ontology is under development.
