My Translator is a free, open-source desktop application for real-time speech translation on Windows and macOS. It captures microphone input, system audio, or both to transcribe and translate spoken conversations. Its translation engines include Soniox, OpenAI Realtime, Qwen LiveTranslate Flash, and experimental offline MLX processing on Apple Silicon. Users can display translations alone or alongside original transcripts in a floating overlay. Two-way translation supports bilingual conversations during meetings and video calls. Optional speech synthesis reads translated text aloud using Edge TTS, Google, or ElevenLabs. Custom terminology improves translation consistency for technical and specialized subjects. The application connects directly to configured providers without an intermediary server and saves transcripts locally as Markdown files.
