Here you will find the current binary releases of MuTrack. WARNING! This project is in alpha status and not a finished product. Expect errors, unexpected behavior and data loss. Do NOT use in production environments. ALWAYS make backup copies of ALL your data, BEFORE starting MuTrack, specially of all files and directories and data contained therein that are located in directories that you choose as "Library" in MuTrack, because this is where MuTrack writes to. Thus any file at any location below any library directory may be overwritten or deleted without further notice by MuTrack. Always use a newly created empty directory on a large drive as library. DO NEVER USE DIRECTORIES ON CONNECTED RECORDING DEVICES OR THEIR MEMORY CARDS AS LIBRARY DIRECTORIES AS THIS MAY CAUSE IMMEDIATE AND UNRECOVERABLE LOSS OF ORIGINAL DATA! THERE IS NO WAY THAT MUTRACK CAN DETECT THIS AUTOMATICALLY. YOU ARE TRYING MUTRACK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! If you are unsure of what you are doing or what this software is doing or whether your valuable data is safe DO NOT USE MUTRACK! Please read and understand the license terms in the files NOTICE.txt and LICENSE.txt before using MuTrack. You will find these files in the directory contained in the downloaded ZIP file next to the executable JAR file. If you are unsure or do not agree to the licensing terms DO NOT USE MUTRACK! Starting the application ------------------------ 1. First download and install an up to date Java Runtime Environment (Version 8 or newer) 2. Download and unpack the downloaded file MuTrack-[VERSION CODE]-bin.zip into a directory of your choice 3. Open the created directory of the same name 4. Find and read the TXT files (NOTICE.txt and LICENSE.txt). If you do not understand or agree to the terms, delete the directory again an do not continue. 5. Depending on your operating system, starting the JAR file can be slightly different. - under Windows simply double click the file "MuTrack-[VERSION CODE].jar" Troubleshooting --------------- If MuTrack does not start, something went wrong with your Java installation. Try the following under Windows: 1. Right-click the jar file and choose "create link" in the context menu 2. A new link file is created, beginning with the jar file name. Right-click this file and choose "properties" 3. find the text field "target" (selected by default) and prepend the contained path with "javaw -jar " (including spaces, excluding quotation marks) The resulting entry should look similar to the following (excluding quotation marks) "javaw -jar D:\MyTools\MuTrack-0.1.1-SNAPSHOT\MuTrack-0.1.1-SNAPSHOT.jar" Click "Ok" 4. Double-click the created link file. 5. Now a splash screen should be shown and a few seconds later you should see the MuTrack main window.
