MUSIC is a 3+1D relativistic second-order viscous hydrodynamics for heavy ion collisions written in C++.

The hydrodynamic equations are solved with the Kurganov-Tadmor method as described in https://arxiv.org/abs/1004.1408 and https://arxiv.org/abs/1109.6289

It includes shear and bulk viscosities at second-order as described in http://arxiv.org/abs/arXiv:1509.06738

There are currently two version of MUSIC. One version is on this website (Sourceforge), in the "Code" section. Another version is on GitHub ( https://github.com/MUSIC-fluid/MUSIC ). We recommend using the newer version on GitHub, although both versions are usable. The newer version is faster, but is missing some features from the older version.

A user manual for MUSIC is available here: https://webhome.phy.duke.edu/~jp401/old_music_manual/
