Added

  • Cruise control follows speed limit signs: two new options. One changes your set speed at each new speed limit sign, the other caps your truck at the posted limit, or at your global limit if that is lower.
  • Retarder and engine brake turn cruise control off: switching either on disengages cruise control, and a popup tells you when one of them keeps cruise from engaging.
  • Option to turn off the brake pedal deadzone: cruise control can disengage the moment you touch the brake, or keep the deadzone so you can rest your foot on the pedal.
  • Choose the AEB warning sound and volume: pick the original warning, a simple high beep, or a Volvo Cars, Volvo Trucks, Scania or Tesla-style warning, and set its volume. A test button plays a short sample so you can balance it against game audio; it does not brake.

Changed

  • Fewer phantom jams in convoys: ACC only watched the truck directly ahead of the lead, so one brake rolled back through a convoy into a standstill. It now looks three trucks ahead and lets go of the brake sooner after a hard stop, so convoys stop far less often and get back up to speed faster.
  • ACC follows bends better with your own truck's size: ACC and AEB now read your truck's length, width and wheelbase from the game instead of assuming one size, so ACC's predicted path no longer drifts to the outside of bends.
  • Fewer shared AEB clips: with "Help improve AEB and ACC" on, far fewer clips of everyday braking and of very fast or tight driving are sent, and the rest are capped per day. Clips where another driver cut in, crossed or reversed into your path are always sent.

Fixed

  • AEB stepped in at the wrong moment: it judged your truck's brakes from gentle braking and from every truck you had driven, and let go right after its first hard hit. It now learns your own truck's brakes, waits until a hard stop is needed, then brakes at about 85% of your truck's braking power right away and keeps braking.
  • AEB braked late in turns and for oncoming cars: a stopped vehicle in your path while turning could be taken for one parked beside the road, and an oncoming car drifting over the centre line for one staying in its lane, until it was too late. AEB no longer waits past the last moment it can still stop for them.
  • AEB stopped far behind the vehicle ahead: it placed your truck's front about 1.3 m further forward than it really is, so every AEB stop ended well short. It now stops about half a metre behind.
  • AEB braked for TruckersMP players in no-collision zones: you drive through other players there, so AEB now ignores them inside a zone, and after it ends until you are clear of each other. This needs a small game plugin that MonoCruise installs by itself and TruckersMP lists as "MonoCruise".
  • AEB warned too late: the warning often started only once AEB was already braking. For a vehicle ahead in your lane it now comes at least a second before AEB brakes, while crossing traffic stays quiet until AEB brakes because it so often turns away at the last moment.
  • AEB warning beeped without flashing: when AEB braked while you were off the gas, the cruise panel and pedal bar stayed dark. Sound and flash now always go together, and both end once AEB has brought you to a stop.
  • Quick brake taps threw off brake learning: a short stab on the brake could convince MonoCruise your truck brakes weaker than it does, so AEB stepped in earlier and cruise braked harder than needed. It now only learns from hard braking held for more than a second.
  • Pedals not found or mixed up: pedal sets on their own USB cable, such as the MOZA CRP2, did not show up, a wheel or pedal set was lost after a firmware update, and on some sets a light tap was missed or brake and gas came out swapped. Pedals are now found and kept, and a light tap is enough to connect them.
  • Brake pedal revved the engine after launch: on some pedal sets the first brake press after starting MonoCruise also gave half throttle. Each pedal now only moves with its own input.
  • Button assignment picked up pedals: pressing a pedal while assigning a cruise button could bind it as that button. Only real buttons can be assigned now.
  • Hangs and repeating popups with button devices: with a bound button device unplugged, while assigning buttons, or when connecting pedals on a rig with many devices, MonoCruise could hang briefly or repeat its "disconnected" popup every two seconds.
  • Game plugin and updates failed on a VPN or offline: a shared VPN address quickly hits GitHub's download limit, so the game plugin did not install and the updater showed no connection. The updater now has a second way to find releases, and MonoCruise brings its own copy of the game plugin for when it cannot download the latest one.

Known

  • Convoys can still jam: at the closest gap setting, and in hard stops or stop-and-go traffic at the default setting, trucks at the back can still come to a stop.
