Mindwtr 1.3.1-rc.2

This release candidate fixes reliability blockers found after rc.1 and expands the areas that need tester coverage. Please test it with a copy of your normal data and share failures through in-app Feedback or GitHub issues.

Changes since rc.1

  • Failed task writes are now reported at capture, completion, Focus, and restore sites. Desktop in-list capture keeps its text when saving fails, and Mind Sweep counts only items the store accepted.
  • Sync and attachments preserve a corrupt-generation file for recovery, reject managed-path traversal on mobile, and keep encryption posture decisions consistent across a cycle. The self-hosted capture API applies the same attachment admission checks to audio.
  • Desktop Local API and publication locks recover after a poisoned operation. MCP database bootstrap is atomic, validates registered tool inputs, keeps protocol output clean, and sanitizes its own logs.
  • Linux desktop notification delivery is awaited through the portal or notification daemon, with a bounded timeout and privacy-safe diagnostics instead of a nested-runtime failure.
  • Android widgets support larger lists within the platform parcel budget and route overflow to the full list. Mobile bulk organize adds calendar pickers and quick date shortcuts.
  • Focus sections and widget selection now share the core derivation, while project creation clears an invalid Focus state and area ordering stays consistent across the app.
  • Daily digests stay enabled independently of task reminders, self-hosted connection setup tests the configured server, and mobile keeps its alarm map even if rescheduling aborts.
  • The optional Private Cloud Compute evaluation remains development-only. Store and TestFlight builds omit its managed entitlement and UI unless a development build explicitly opts in.

Testing focus

  • Force or simulate a failed save from quick capture, Mind Sweep, completion, Focus, and restore actions; confirm the error is visible and unsaved text is retained.
  • Sync attachments across WebDAV, File Sync, and self-hosted Cloud, including a missing or corrupt local generation. Confirm valid files survive and unsafe managed paths are refused.
  • On Linux, trigger a reminder in a native package and in Flatpak. Confirm the notification appears and Diagnostics records the selected backend without a Tokio runtime panic.
  • On Android 12 or newer, show a widget list with more than 20 tasks, scroll it, use View all, complete a row, and confirm the app later ingests the completion.
  • Bulk-edit start and due dates on mobile with manual input, the calendar picker, and the Today/Tomorrow shortcuts. Relaunch and confirm the dates persisted.
  • Upgrade from 1.3.0 or rc.1, then create, edit, complete, cancel, archive, restore, and sync tasks and projects across two clients.
