Markra is a free, open-source Markdown editor that combines visual document editing with built-in AI writing assistance. It offers a WYSIWYG interface and source editing mode for working with plain Markdown files. Its AI tools support rewriting, summarizing, translating, and expanding content with previews before changes are applied. The application provides tabs, folder workspaces, document outlines, and searchable writing sessions. It includes local spellchecking, customizable themes, and optional WebDAV synchronization. Documents remain stored locally by default, with external services used only when configured.
