LockIME is a free, open-source macOS utility designed to prevent unwanted keyboard input source changes. It runs from the menu bar and automatically restores a preferred input method when users or applications switch to another. The software supports global settings, application-specific rules, and browser URL-based configurations. Users can choose whether an input source remains locked or switches only when an application gains focus. Its conflict detection system prevents endless switching when other programs control input methods. LockIME also recognizes standalone executable processes and maintains an activation log for troubleshooting. Built with SwiftUI for macOS 14 and later, it supports Apple silicon and Intel computers.
