apus-lp-ramdisk.image000119.gz Fixed the problems caused by unknown partition types. Unknown partition types are shown in the "0x????????" format. Note that the unknown partition types can have non-system mount points created by the installer. Why ? Because it seemed a good idea at the time - now not so sure. No atari keymaps anymore, more amiga maps by "Nicholai Benalal" <nicholai@altavista.net> Please ensure that you can boot the test "ramdisk.image.gz" from linux-apus.sourceforge.net and that you can mount and access the hardisk or cd containing your RPMS. Typical mount commands would be : mount -t affs /dev/hda1 /mnt mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt LinuxPPC 1999 install ramdisk image "apus-lp-ramdisk.image000119.gz" created from sources on the 1st LinuxPPC 1999 CD and libfdisk from m68k 5.2 beta on sunsite auc.dk Some kernel options on the boot command line are reported as unknown when linux starts - ignore them (the installer extracts them from /proc/cmdline). Don't do the X config, it falls over because it doesen't recognize what's in /etc/sysconfig/mouse, it expects to see "busmouse" not "bm" Suggest try running Xconfigurator when you have installed the correct XF68_FBDev* and link to it. And copy System.Map to /boot when you reboot to avoid many startup warnings. A write to the 'blue' screen still occurs : 'No valid RDB found' if no RDB on a disk. Ken Tyler kent@werple.net.au
