LibrarySelfCheck 1.0

Installation notes:

This self check system was designed to run in a FireFox browser, in fullscreen mode, while displayed on a touch screen.

LibrarySelfCheck can run on any webserver with Perl, or it can be deployed as an individual workstation installed with WAMMP.

I will include a WAMMP package with all of the contents setup and working in the future.

This is a quick overview of the setup, I will add more detailed configuration in the near future, specifically for firefox and receipt printing.

Setup:

Extract the contents of the ZIP file.

Copy the contents of the htdocs folder to your webserver client accessible folder (usually called htdocs, www, or web).

Copy the contents of the cgi-bin folder to your cgi-bin directory.

Open the login.pl script in a text editor and configure the varaibles.

If you enable SQL for Statistics logging, you will also need to open the stats.pl file and edit those variables to match.

Import the sc.sql file to setup your MySQL database.

Edit the index.html file in the htdocs folder and edit the template text, image, etc to match your Library theme.
