Privacy and data ownership

KMate is designed around local-first reading and learning. Your library is stored on your device, and KMate does not require you to upload it to a third-party knowledge service. Network access is used only for features you choose, such as Amazon Cloud import, online dictionary lookup, AI definitions, or personal iCloud sync.
