This project aims to develop parameterized software models which can generate high quality 3D models of electronic components. Initially VRML2.0 models will be created but FreeCAD models will also be created as FreeCAD features mature. I hope these efforts will contribute to KiCAD's ability to produce quality 3D views of a project and, ultimately, STEP models which can aid in the electronics/mechanical integration process.
