KhervePDF is a free, open-source PDF viewer and annotation editor for Windows, built in Python with PySide6 and PyMuPDF. It combines a clean editing experience with a feature unique among PDF tools: every change is tracked in a per-document Git repository, so you can browse history, diff revisions, and restore earlier versions of any PDF.
Annotate with pen, highlighter, text boxes, shapes, arrows, sticky notes, signatures, and redactions. Reorder, rotate, insert, delete, merge and split pages. Fill AcroForm fields. Search across pages. Export to PNG or plain text.
