Description

Add-in for microsoft Outlook which always minimizes the application instead of closing it. You'll likely need to first install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. Then install KeepOutlookRunning.dll as an Add-in under Tools-->Trust Center in outlook. If you're using the 64-bit version of office/outlook, download the 64-bit dll instead.

This method works for Outlook 2016 as well: jman642 Win7 64bit & Outlook 2010 64bit. Wouldn't work at first, but then I did this: Find OUTLOOK.EXE, right click, run as administrator, then File, Options, Add-Ins, Go.. button, Add... button and select the 64bit dll

Works perfect. (x64 Windows 8.1 outlook 2013). You only need start Outlook with admin account to install add in.

Wonderful. Works like a charm (XP 32bit with Outlook 2010). I kept closing outlook by accident, because I automatically use the X button to quit programs. I was trying to get to use minimize instead - but it is difficult to break long standing habits.

Works great on windows 8 64bit, Office 2013. Needs to run Outlook as administrator while adding dll.
