I'm a professional (C++) software developer with 35+ years of experience. I've been using this app for years and have never had a single (known) problem. I also strongly value that this app isn't cloud-based like many of its competitors, which is always a potentially big security risk (no matter how often "professional" reviewers of cloud-based security apps often tout their safety, most of whom aren't software developers or security experts). If you read the "professional" reviews of KeePass however you'll sometimes find people who promote the strength of its security ("excellent") but sometimes criticize its design. While there may be more "modern" apps around that can make the experience easier, it doesn't make them more secure. This app is what it is and was designed a long time ago. Expecting the author to redesign it now would be ridiculous. It's not necessary though. The program does its job and from what I've read (from people who should hopefully know what they're talking about), does it very well (from a security standpoint). The design is also more than adequate and that's *my* professional (highly experienced) opinion (and keep in mind that a password manager isn't something that most people are normally using all day long, like a browser or spreadsheet or messenger app - KeePass may be more cumbersome to use than some other apps but it's hardly a showstopper when you're only using it every now and again - no big deal). Moreover, for those who know anything about software development, the program strongly benefits from being around for so long. It's likely far more stable now than most of its peers and that's what you want in any piece of software, let alone one that deals with security. Most software is in a constant state of flux in fact, often rendering it untrustworthy. From what I've read this program has also been independently audited and no major issues were found (and I've taken a quick look at the official findings myself). It's also apparently endorsed by a lot of reputable organizations. I'm not affiliated with this app in any way, and while I haven't independently reviewed all the endors****ts I've ever read nor audited the code myself (a large undertaking), take it from someone who's been in the coding trenches for a very long time. If reports of this app's solid security are in fact accurate, and I have no reason to believe otherwise at this time (but I always remain cautious), then it's something to be greatly valued in a password manager app.

My wife and I have been using KeePass for over 12 years and find it to be nothing short of remarkable. Our databases are on USB Flash drives for added security with our backup copies in our bank box and home safe. We have created databases for passwords, inventories, recipes, addresses and much, much more.

I have used KeyPass as my password manager for over 10 years. I will never change to another. I have looked at others because of the company I work for, but they also now use KeyPass. It is absolutely the best and most secure password manager around. I only with I could incorporate 2 factor authentication from Authy. I do use the keyfile as a form of 2-factor but I don't find that as secure as a OTP. Perhaps in some future version this will be offered. In any case, well done!

The best and simplest way to keep secure the numerous password we can have. Regularly updated and a huge list of plugins. Very well done job.

Been using this for years. Great project and takes browser integration add on's. I like the chrome extension: "KeePassHelper Password Manager Helper" extension for KeePass to find and insert credentials, generate passwords, or save new logins without manual copy and paste.

Great program, open source high security with all the bells & whistles. I JUST discovered how to change the FONT SIZE in passwords and other entries-Tools -Options-Interface 2--Custom list font. SUGGESTION- update the advice at keepass dot info/help/base/faq_tech.html#guifont

I have been using KeePass with my team for a couple of years now. I rate this application an easy five ***** for its clear features and ease of use.

Definitely one of the best projects for password management. We have been switching to this password manager for several months and the whole process has become incredibly faster. Furthermore, the archives are very safe and transportable

Very convenient and versatile software. Use is easy and immediate and the functions are numerous. I found the file import options very convenient which allowed me to fast migrate from an old password management software to KeePass.

KeePass is an excellent standalone password manager. it's key advantages are: Solid security, Powerful features, High flexibility, Reliable and bug-free experience downsides include: Trigger System is a major weakness, KeePass is a one-man show - you can't submit PR's or participate in project development

Excellent utility.

Brilliant tool. Hard to imagine life without it. I trust KeePass. It has the flexibility to cater for all my needs: passwords, information, bank accounts, serial numbers, SIMs, WiFi details.

I'm a big fan of KeePass, using it daily since years, on Windows and Android. It's a real productivity and security tool, and it's (reasonably) frequently maintained and upgraded, which is sound. Very good job.

KeePass is one of the best password keepers. I've been using the portable version for over 10 years. Using this version means I can put the files in cloud storage and access it from home, work, and devices. Thank you for providing a great product and always working to make it better. Pairing KeePass with StrongBox was one of the best decisions I've made.

Certainly one of the best programs I've used, and I've used it for many years now, no problems ever. The GUI is self-explaining and intuitive, and smoothly integrates into the Windows environment. Many thanks to the developer for this brilliant software.

A very useful application for keeping saved passwords. All the functionality I wanted to have available is in the KeePass app. Frequent updates to the program show that the developers are working on the development of the application. What is missing is the ability to synchronize the application with an application installed on another computer. But perhaps there is already such functionality, and only I do not know about it. A big plus is that the application is free.
