is the possible to integrate keepass with a fingerprint reader so i just can use that to logon instead of password, and one more thing off topic, is it possible to subscribe to only my own threads instead of monitoring the whole forum?

I have OmniPass fingerprint reader and KeePass resists all attempts to enter the master password. I can make it enter a password in an edit window, but it refuses to do it after initial setup.
BTW, OmniPass has a really horrible user interface.

I got it to work with OmniPass 3.51 this way:
First I entered a letter in the Keyword Wizard, droped it into the KeyPass Password Field and then entered the right Password of my KeePassDB and dropped it to the Password Field and then finish the Wizard. Now when I enter the first letter i've choosen OmiPass pops up and I can logon with my fingerprint. But it only works with the "weak password field" in KeePass or when I change the Password Field to clear text. Sorry for my bad english.. hope you understand the content ;-)

OmniPass remembers that it is a password field only when the password is in it, so you use a single character password to prompt OmniPass and use the second OmniPass field to enter the first bit of the password.
1. Open the OmniPass Wizard.
2. Enter the *last* character of your password.
3. Drag the key to the KeePass password box.
4. OP now gives you a second field to use.
Enter your KeePass password *not* including the last character.
5. Drag the key to the KeePass password box.
6. Tick the I'm done box.
7. Drag the Enter icon to the OK button.
8. Finish. Ignore the warning about not testing.
Now when KeePass prompts for a password, type the last character of your password and OmniPass will ask for authentication. Authenticate and away you go.
cheers, Paul

Version 1.14 of KeePass seems to use the master password box differently - the behaviour of OmniPass has changed since I loaded V1.14.

I use KeePass with the Sony Puppy FIU-810 "fingerprint identity device". The KeePass database is protected with a .key file that is only accessible after fingerprint authentication using the onboard microprocessor.

Change to plaintext in Keepass (3 dots become black) just prior to finger-printing the password. Ensure that the OK button is selected to enter password automatically to prevent the password showing on the screen when reader is used.

I have both a omnipass fingerprint reader and a microsoft fingerprint reader, but i cant get keepass to work with any of them

BTW KeePass works well with Identix's BioShield. I use BioShield to open Keepass using my fingerprint to supply the password.
Has anyone determined how to get Keepass to work with the Microsoft Fingerprint reader?
Nevermind, I got it to work.
How?
Change to plaintext in Keepass (3 dots become black) just prior to finger-printing the password. Ensure that the OK button is selected to enter password automatically to prevent the password showing on the screen when reader is used.
I posted the answer, but it didn't show up
