Installation instructions:

KBarcode-kde4 is currently (2012-12-14) in a beta stage
and is not in Ubuntu or Debian repositories yet.
Only a deb package for amd64 architecture currently exists.
To install the version 3.0.0b2 for amd64 architecture on your system:

Download the file kbarcode-kde4_3.0.0b2-1_amd64.deb .

Install dependencies:

sudo apt-get install kde-runtime kdepim-runtime libakonadi-contact4 libakonadi-kde4 libc6 libgcc1 libkabc4 libkdecore5 libkdeui5 libkio5 libkjsapi4 libpcre3 libqt4-sql libqt4-xml libqtcore4 libqtgui4 libstdc++6 barcode ghostscript

Install recommended packages:

sudo apt-get install libicu48 cups libqt4-sql-mysql

cd to the directory where the downloaded deb file is and install KBarcode-kde4:

sudo dpkg -i kbarcode-kde4_3.0.0b2-1_amd64.deb

Run KBarcode-kde4:

kbarcode-kde4
