Find the various versions on the "Files" tab (https://sourceforge.net/projects/jtdx-improved/files/)
jtdx_improved is an enhanced version of JTDX by Igor Chernikov et al. (https://sourceforge.net/projects/jtdx/). Both my and Igor's forks are based on the excellent WSJT-X software by Joe Taylor K1JT, Steve Franke K9AN, Bill Somerville G4WJS and others (https://sourceforge.net/projects/wsjt/). After the succes of my wsjt-x_improved project (https://sourceforge.net/projects/wsjt-x-improved/) I thought it was time to implement some of its enhancements now also to JTDX …
Notes: jtdx_improved is experimental and is licensed under GNU GPL v3 (https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.txt). I am not aware of any adverse effects. However, use it at your own risk!

Features
- The GUI of the main window has been optimized. It is now similar to that of wsjt-x_improved AL. But there is also a version with JTDX's default GUI.
- “FT8”, “FT4”, and “JT” buttons make it easy to switch between the frequently used modes (useful when menus are hidden).
- In the Wide Graph window, text of "Control" checkbox has been removed to prevent accidental ticking when setting lower audio frequencies.
- Some bug fixes to the GA release. (Latest Hamlib files, etc.)
- Band Hopping for FT8, FT4 and JT65! A new Tab 3 has checkboxes for the most important FT8, FT4 and JT65 frequencies. Just select the bands/modes you want and push the "Band Hopping" button. Automatic band hopping takes place every other full minute. (Very useful together with PSK Reporter to get an overview on the current propagation.)
- Option to highlight all messages with My Call by a yellow or cyan background (like WSJT-X).
- Highlight messages with DX Call / DX Grid.
- Play individual alert sounds as notifications ("New DXCC", "New Grid", "Calling You" and so on). Note: This feature requires that your rig is connected via USB audio, and that this audio sink is NOT named 'Default'.
- Let JTAlert highlight individual callsigns, grids or DT values. Works from JTAlert version 2.51.3 as with WSJT-X or wsjt-x_improved.
- New: Doubleclick on the Lookup button searches on QRZ.com for the callsign from the DX Call box.
- New: Optimized Dark Style sheet.

After many days of trial and error, I finally got the thing setup to my liking. Seems to decode more than WSJT and other than the fact that current instructions/user manual is non-existent, it has been worth the effort in my hit and miss approach. I would think that the creators of this software would see the need for a decent user manual that explains the use of every setting. I consider myself about average on being able to figure out computer related things myself, but a user manual based on the latest version would certainly have saved a lot of hair pulling and threats to throw in the towel.

Very nice additions to the software. really like the layout, especially the band select in a bar as apposed to drop down. One issue that prevents me from using this software to its full advantage. When using Omni rig 1.2 with IC-7610 and JTDX set up to split operation (rig). If you tap the 7610's sub vfo, or select main/sub the vfo bounces from B to A and back to B and advances both VFO's 2kc. It does not do this in WSJTX or WSJTX_improved. Fix that and its solid as far as im concerned.

This is much better than the original JTDX. Love both the functionality and the improvement in the GUI over JTDX.
