README: JOPUX appliances at Sourceforge ======================================= JOPUX is a Linux distribution and family of appliances. A subset of the appliances are available at Sourceforge. More information about JOPUX appliances is also available on: http://www.jopux.org/ How to use a downloaded zip file? --------------------------------- Every appliance is archived within a zip file that contains an ovf file. You can easily import the ovf file to many hypervisors. Here a list of hypervisors which supports ovf: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Virtualization_Format#Industry_support You may already have your favourite manager installed on your PC? If not, then may use VirtualBox. You can download it from: https://www.virtualbox.org/ or http://www.jopux.org/index.php/download/category/7-download-virtual-box Then just follow these steps: - Install VirtualBox - Download and unzip appliance - Import ovf file to VirtualBox, and adjust settings - Start your appliance At first boot you need to login, and set your keyboard layour and time zone.
