About
GIPC (pronounced Gypsy) is short for Geographical IP Correlation. A Windows 32 bit self-contained exe that can be used for pulling geographical information from IP address.
Requirements
The exe requires 2 inputs:
- The IP file (one IP per line)
- MaxMind GeoCity database – This can be downloaded HERE:http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLiteCity.dat.gz
Outputs
GIPC can produce 3 types of output:
- Display the results within the GUI
- Export the results to a CSV file
- Generate a Google Map html file that displays the aggregate IP count per country in an interactive.
Bug Fixes
Version 1.5 fixed the following:
- CSV off-by-one comma issue with some countries.
- Error message now generates if it cannot save a file properly.
- Updates to the about screen.
