Project Infinity-X for Redmi Note 8 Pro (begonia)
Unofficial builds of Project Infinity-X, an AOSP-based Android ROM, for the Redmi Note 8 Pro (begonia, MediaTek Helio G90T / MT6785).
These are not official Infinity-X releases. The Infinity-X lead developer approved publishing them.
Before you download
- Read the XDA thread first: https://xdaforums.com/t/4802620/ Installation steps, requirements and known issues are listed there, and they can change from one build to the next.
- You need an unlocked bootloader, a custom recovery and a PC with adb.
- Builds from 25 Sep 2026 on use dynamic partitions. They need a recovery that supports dynamic partitions
(the XDA thread links one). Static recoveries such as PBRP 4.1 can't install them: the installer stops at the start
and changes nothing. The last static build (24 Sep 2026) stays available in
begonia/16/gapps/. - The zips flash firmware, including the bootloader (preloader, lk). Charge the phone and do not interrupt an install.

Builds for a later Android version will get their own folder, for example begonia/17/.
Check your download
Every release post in the XDA thread lists the MD5 and SHA1 of the zip. SourceForge shows them too (the "i" icon next to the file). Compare them before you flash:
- Linux / macOS:
md5sum <file>orsha1sum <file> - Windows:
certutil -hashfile <file> MD5
Updates
Once a build is installed, new builds arrive through the built-in Updater app. GApps and Vanilla builds have separate update feeds, so the Updater only offers builds of the variant you have installed.
Bugs and support
Report bugs in the XDA thread. Include the build date, your unit's region (adb shell getprop ro.boot.hwc), your recovery, whether you clean flashed or updated, the steps to reproduce, and a log taken right after the problem (adb logcat -b all -d > logcat.txt). Check the log for personal data before you post it.
