Image Segmentation for Document recovery Files

TITLE: 	HISTOGRAM SEGMENTATION USING A NON PARAMETRIC METHOD

	 A non-parametric method for segmenting a one dimensional histogram without a prior assumption of its underlying density function.It defines a rigorous admissible segmentation avoiding over and under segmentation problems.A fast algorithm fine to coarse (FTC) leading to such a segmentation is proposed. This approach can be tested in both real and synthetic data and may be even applied to written document images. These images require very small modes of histogram which can be accurately detected with our method.

Software Used: Matlab 7.6

Method to run the Program:
Just download the codings and change the default directory into the folder where the document scanned image file,whose text is to be extracted, is saved and then execute the program by pressing F5 Key :)
