README IMAGINE OPENBOX 1. ABOUT IMAGINE THEME FOR OPENBOX Following is from description in deb/rpm package ------------------------------------------------ Package: imagine.openbox Version: 1.0-1 Maintainer: ishom jauhari<ishomj@gmail.com> Architecture: all Description: Openbox theme based on certain properties Themes in package: -UBUNTU FLAVOR (Ambiance and radiance) -CLASSICS (Clearlooks and Human) -FLAT (FlatCarbon and FlatSuperwhite) -CURVED (CurvedDark and CurvedLight) -extra WINDOWS FLAVOR (Seven and Eight). IMAGINE THEME USE FOLLOWING CUSTOM PROPERTY: -Consist of 2 areas definition (each almost in uniform color): window and button, -Looks as thick or wide border, -Inactive windows looks behind active one, -Remove square impression of buttons, if possible in different color, -Button marks designed based on BOX concept LISENCE: GNU GPL - please see detail at http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html SUGGESTION: Please contact ishom jauhari (ishomj@gmail.com). ---------------------------------------------------- 2. REQUIREMENT These themes were created on system that use openbox (wm) version3.x, therefore will work in system had already been installed openbox 3.x. Detail can be found at http://openbox.org/ 3. HOW TO INSTALL There are 2 options of destination directory installation: -rpm and deb package will automatically installed to wide system, i.e., /usr/share/themes -tar.gz package depends on intended directory, home (local) or wide system. 3.1. deb package From directory of package downloaded, use terminal command: sudo dpkg -i imagine.openbox_1.0-1_all.deb If gdebi already installed, from directory of package downloaded use terminal command: sudo gdebi imagine.openbox_1.0-1_all.deb or doubleclick from file-manager- usually file already associated 3.2.rpm package From directory of package downloaded, use terminal command: sudo rpm -i imagine.openbox-1.0-1.noarch.rpm NOTE: I'm don't know much about rpm, this file was converted from debian (used alien) 3.3.tar.gz package -First, extract file: imagine.openbox_targz.zip included files: imagine.openbox_1.0-1.tar.gz & readme.txt -Second, from directroy the file extracted, if intended directory is wide system, use command: sudo tar -zxvf imagine.openbox_1.0-1.tar.gz -C /usr/share/themes if intended directory is home directory, use command: tar -zxvf imagine.openbox.1.0-1.tar.gz -C ~/.themes NOTE: directory .theme (hidden) must be already exist/created in /home/[YOU-USER]/ 4. SELECTING THEME For those who never use openbox, use command: obconf or Click Menu "Openbox Configuration Manager" hence, theme can be selected from dialog box. NOTE: If looks of window is unchange, probably current window manager is not openbox, so it must be activated from login or use following command: openbox --replace sometimes ones add desktop-manager such as LXDE (lxde-core), use: openbox-lxde --replace THANK YOU AND ENJOY WITH NEW TASTE!
