**********README*********** Developed for Psychopy 1.62.01 which can be downloaded here: http://code.google.com/p/psychopy/downloads/detail?name=StandalonePsychoPy-1.62.01-winVista.exe&can=2&q= The basic settings should be fixed for all trials and are set in the setup.txt files. This includes number of trials, key to be pressed, etc. To run the program just double click on the shortcut that is on the desktop. This will open the proper version of python to run the program. A dialog box will open up... Most information should not be changed. The ID number for the trial is automatically generated . Write it down in order to identify which data belongs to this patient. Dialog box should be self explanatory. Enter hand dominance and which hand is being used. Default is Right for both. Next place the patient's chin 22 inches from the computer (preferably using string). The patient should use index finger on the space bar and should not change fingers. Give the following instructions: "Please look at the center of the screen. In a moment a plus sign will appear in the middle of the screen, please look only at that. At different intervals an arrow will appear on the left or right side of the screen. Please hit the spacebar with either your pointer or middle finger as soon as you see the arrow, as fast as you can. Do not look at the arrows but only at the '+' in the center of the screen." Hit the OK button either using the mouse or just by hitting enter to begin the test. Please stand a few feet away, close enough to see if there are any problem but not close enough that the patient will be looking to you for guidance.
